11 Hallin Park - Location
***
Waternish is one of the three 'fingers' of land that form the northern coastline of the Isle of Skye. Each of the three, Waternish, Trotternish and Glendale, is different in character, but all share the spectacular outlook the Western Isles, the Outer Hebrides.
Travelling north out of Portree, you follow the A87 for Dunvegan, passing through the village of Edinbane.
If you are just coming on to Skye, you might decide to drive up the west side of the island, following the main road through Dunvegan.
The Waternish peninsula starts at the Fairy Bridge, at which the single track road leaves the A87 and works northwards opening a fantastic vista of the coastline and outlying islands. Around 6 miles from the Fairy Bridge, there is a junction where the tiny road goes over the moor to Geary and Gillen.
11 Hallin Park is situated just across the road from this junction. The cottage stands in it's own grassed grounds, set back from the quiet road and a comfortable distance from neighbours.
